Tamron, one of the leading manufacturers of optics for diverse applications, has announced it has won an EISA Award for European DSLR Lens 2016-2017 with the SP 85mm F/1.8 Di VC USD – the world’s first fast-aperture lens with Vibration Compensation (VC) for full-frame DSLR cameras. This award marks the 11th consecutive EISA win for Tamron, demonstrating their high standard of manufacturing products for consumers.
The Tamron SP 85mm F/1.8 Di VC USD, like every other deserving EISA Award winner, comes in hand with a range of key features. For example, it incorporates optical image stabilisation, offering the user shutter speeds of up to 3.5 stops slower than the usual. Also, the optical design presents the perfect balance between sharpness at the focus point and a soft, natural background effect – suitable for portrait photographers in particular. The SP 85mm also hosts a sealed barrel, preventing dust and moisture, as well as the use of Low Dispersion and Extra Low Dispersion glass elements, minimizing chromatic aberrations.
