The European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) have honoured Sony with 5 awards in their 2016 round-up
Sony’s first EISA win was for European Premium Compact Camera 2016-2017 with the RX1R II. As one of the world’s smallest full-frame cameras, the RX1R II delivers the highest picture quality of any Sony compact camera ever made.
Sony also won awards for European Prosumer Compact System Camera 2016-2017 and European Professional Compact System Lens 2016-2017 with the α6300 and SEL85F14GM, as well as European In-Car HD Player 2016-2017 with the RSX-GS9.
However, the winning product that caught our eye is the a7S II, which received an award for European Photo & Video Camera 2016-2017. Just like every other EISA Award winner, the a7S II hosts a variety of key features, including sensitivity up to 409600i with low noise across the whole range. Also, 4K movie recording internally in the XAVC S format along with high speed autofocus with enhanced accuracy in wide ranging scenes allow for advanced shooting. The a7S II also hosts in-camera 5-axis optical image stabilisation, full HD 120fps recording and 4x/5x slow-mo recording, as well as a range of professional movie functionalities including S-Gamut3.Cine/S-Log3, new Gamma Assist Display and enhanced Zebra Function.
